Wayfinding for the Visually-Impaired

The UK Rail industry was faced with a decision on whether to deploy wayfinding technology to assist blind and visually impaired passengers. Our analysis demonstrated that emerging technologies offered a far greater potential benefit and the technology being evaluated was not fit for purpose within a modern station setting.
Our recommendations prevented the rail industry potentially incurring millions of pounds of capital and maintenance costs, whilst setting the direction for deployment of valuable future technology to help a wide range of passengers with specific needs.
